Our aim is to help disadvantaged BME women 50+ in addressing barriers including; disabilities, poor health, lack of language and who are unemployed or economically inactive to become self-sufficient through gaining confidence and learning skills to become employed or seek to move closer to further training and education opportunities.
They will learn how to bake cakes of different shapes and sized, followed by decorative designs using a selection of techniques including royal icing and sugar flowers. The course will also cover how to create decorations using different piping methods, nozzles and patterns. Each paticipent will also attend as day course to obtain a RSPH level 2 Award in Food, Safety and Hygiene all free of charge.
Each session will be 3 hours long once a week over a period of 5 weeks.
